Holy Trinity Sonnet

Father, Son and Holy Spirit, or Ghost,

At Baptism, these words give our Faith the most.

The mystery of the Holy Trinity,

The Father, the first of the triad's Divinity.

 

No one knows the Father except the Son,

Belief - Is eternal life for everyone.

Jesus, the only son of God, begotten,

Thirty three years on earth, never forgotten.

 

The spirit depicted as a White Dove,

Symbolic of purity and God's Love.

St. Patrick's shamrock - one plant with three leaves,

An Irish tool explaining what one believes.

 

Christian Faith rests in the Holy Trinity's essence,

The sacred mystery of God's three-in-one presence.
